Marc Marling

I am either a maritime lawyer who understands business or a businessman with a law degree... you decide!

I am an experienced maritime transportation and logistics attorney and a commercial lawyer and businessman. I counsel senior management on international commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, maritime law, environmental issues and government relations. I currently practice law in Norfolk, Virginia at Williams Mullen. Prior to joining Williams Mullen, I served as Vice President and US General Counsel to CMA CGM, the third largest container shipping company in the world.

I am active in several industry organizations including the Maritime Law Association of the United States where I currently serve as Chairman of the Website and Technology Committee and South Eastern Admiralty Law Institute.

I spend a great deal of time on the road and my posts reflect my interests, mainly centered around success in business and with particular attention to transportation and logistics issues. I look forward to the discussion online.
