The American Bar AssociationHouse of Delegates passed a resolution on Feb. 8, 2010 at their Midyear meeting in Orlando urging the US Senate to ratify the Convention commonly referred to as the Rotterdam Rules. Thank you to Warren Warwedel, President of the Maritime Law Association of the United States for pointing this out. The ABA noted in its report that The Rotterdam Rules . . . set forth, with greater clarity, the rights and responsibilities of the interested parties. The Rotterdam Rules will provide greater harmony, efficiency, uniformity, and predictability for those involved in marine shipping.
Okay Senate, can we stop debating health care for just 5 minutes and let Toyota cool their heels while we get this done?
